In XLayers, when referring to the term Absolute Share, it refers to the percentage of Reinsurer (and possible Broker) participation in a Treaty or Facultative Agreement defined in relation to the ceded percentage. The sum of the absolute shares of the various Participants in Treaty or Facultative Reinsurance will be equal to the ceded Percentage.
For example, in a Quota Share Treaty with a ceded percentage of 50% if there was only one participant, its absolute share would be 50% while its relative share or share on the transferred would be 100%.
